Ultracapacitors mainly use fast and reversible redox reactions on the double layer or electrodes to store energy. The energy storage process does not produce chemical reactions. The energy storage principle of Ultracapacitor (Supercapacitor) Cell is based on the adsorption or adsorption-desorption process of charge on the electrode surface, which is related to the working principle of electrochemical capacitors or electric double layer capacitors (EDLC). However, the overall research standards in the field are relatively vague, and the energy storage mechanism is unclear, which greatly limits the research and development of Ultracapacitor (Supercapacitor) Cell. At present, it has broad application prospects in the fields of information, electronics, instrumentation, energy, transportation and military industry.
In terms of product price, as the technology and application level mature, the overall price of Ultracapacitors tends to be rational. In particular, small-capacity Ultracapacitors have basically matured.

Ultracapacitors can respond quickly, store energy during high voltage periods, release energy during low voltage periods, and smooth the output voltage.

Improving the capacity and cycle characteristics of capacitors and reducing costs have always been issues of concern to the industry.
