Typical processes include "pretreatment + MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) + NF/RO (Nanofiltration/Reverse Osmosis)" or advanced oxidation. The upstream of the industry chain includes suppliers of membrane modules (such as PVDF ultrafiltration membranes and RO membranes), aeration equipment, chemicals (PAC, carbon sources, defoamers), pumps, valves, and automated control systems. The midstream consists of professional environmental engineering companies and operation service providers, requiring EPC general contracting, DTRO/NF system integration, concentrate treatment, and long-term stable operation and maintenance capabilities. The downstream primarily consists of local government sanitation departments, landfill/incinerator operators, and industrial parks. Due to the complexity of the technology, large investment, and long operation and maintenance cycle (usually 10-20 years), the overall gross profit margin of the industry is between 30% and 50%, of which the gross profit margin of engineering construction is about 25%-35%, and that of professional operation services can reach 40%-60%.
